Every now and then someone says something to me which is one of those accepted wisdom kind of things, 'My big car uses less petrol going down the motorway than a small eco car; it's hardly ticking over; stands to reason...'. I then spend an hour or so looking this up on the internet, come to some conclusion and then forget where I found the information so when someone says 'My big car uses less petrol...'
