This site started way back in 2000 with FrontPage, a very easy to use website editor.
It was later moved to SharePoint (various versions) and put behind a next-Gen firewall which is probably why no more history is recorded.
Microsoft have made is harder to build a public site on a SharePoint backend. It can be done and is often well done, but the effort is disproportionate in this case.
So we have moved to WIX commercial a website builder, which does not have all the features we had in SharePoint (it has others we do no need). For the things we cannot do in WIX we will use other tools.
In 2002 there was not much social media around, so we published our own photos and status updates. GoodReads did just exit but we did not know about it. So we published our own book reviews, using different formats. My concept was strangely like GoodReads:

You can find us both on Facebook and LinkedIn, Carol even has Twitter and Instagram accounts. And of course all the other connectivity solutions: Teams, Skype, What'sApp, Messenger and so on.
